It is within walking distance of local shops and the golf club at Trevose Head. It lies within easy reach of the famous seven bays, with a fantastic variety of beaches and surfing conditions. You can join the coastal footpath and walk as far as your energy will take you.

St Merryn offers a selection of shops and two pubs including Rick Stein’s Cornish Arms and picturesque Padstow is ten minutes' drive away, with a wide selection of shops, some superb restaurants and the harbour for boat trips including the regular ferry across the estuary to Rock.

Little Towan is a great base for exploring Cornwall at any time of year, with longer day trips including the Eden Project, the art galleries of St Ives, an adventure park at Flambards or the mysteries of Tintagel offering something for everyone.
